Generally our consultations are 1-2 hours and we walk the entire property talking about areas of interest for new plantings to increase diversity for pollinators and discuss problem sites with drainage or other issues. We also look heavily at the invasive pressure on your property (kudzu, bittersweet, honeysuckle, multiflora rose, etc.) and let you know what needs to go ASAP and the best process to remove it. We'll point out the fantastic natives you already have popping up that you can cultivate and help spread and what types of native plants you should be adding to your property to increase diversity and resilience.

We then provide a written action plan with estimated costs into a proposal that summarizes our visit, gives you next steps for your property*, and offers you the pricing options for working with Spriggly's on different parts of the projects if desired. We offer 2D/3D design services, simple plant lists, plant education guides, and implementation services as our schedule allows. This initial visit and proposal is $300.

*Although we will discuss plant options with you while on site as examples and you are free to take notes, please note that the proposal only includes types of plants (groundcovers, shrubs, trees, wildflowers, etc.), not the name and number of plants specifically chosen for your space. Those are part of our design stage, whether a simple plant list, or a full 2D/3D landscape design, we price those out for each project in the proposal.

Spriggly's charges by the hour and the hourly fee is based upon the number of staff on site. The standard rate ranges are as noted below. As the difficulty and intensity of the labor job increases and/or the distance increases, the hourly rate will increase accordingly. The overall estimated budget needed for labor based on the hourly rate for each project is discussed before a contract is created. A budget is also set for plants and other materials. Please note all work is done by hand and no powered equipment will be used unless absolutely necessary.
