Native Bees and the Habitats They Require | 12th Annual Gardeners’ Conference at High Rock Church
February 21 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Presentation Name: Native Bees and the Habitats They Require By Brannen Basham and Jill Jacobs, Spriggly’s Beescaping
Presentation Details: Pollinators are essential for our survival. Did you know that there are almost 4,000 species of bees native to North America that are doing the lion’s share of work pollinating our gardens? Learn about the lives of these pollination workhorses and the habitat each requires for nesting and survival. From the largest to the smallest, native bees are fascinating and extremely beneficial. Supporting them in your spaces is easier than you might think. This workshop offers approaches you can infuse into your everyday gardening that make a huge difference to the bees and other beneficial wildlife around you.
This talk is part of the larger 12th Annual Gardeners’ Conference at High Rock Church organized and sponsored by Extension Master Gardeners Volunteer Association of Davidson County. Spriggly’s will present the same program twice, from 11-11:50AM and again from 12:20-1:10PM. Learn more about the entire event and register at the link below.
